Street Fighter II watch announced

Street Fighter II, the iconic fighting game from Capcom, has been announced for release on a dedicated watch model by Maximum Entertainment and My Play Watch. The watch is designed with the Japanese publisher and is set to launch in France on December 11, 2026, with a price of 89.99 euros.

Pre-orders available online

Pre-orders for the watch are available on Amazon and Micromania. The watch features a game inspired by Street Fighter II, allowing users to select fighters from the series and face opponents through attack choices, counterattacks, and timing.

Game adapted for watch screen

The game is adapted for the watch's screen size, with short matches and no inclusion of the arcade machine's controls. Each character has unique illustrations, animations, sounds, and dials, with visual elements to unlock as players progress.

Watch features and controls

Users can change characters at any time and control the watch using a touchscreen, a crown, and a customized button. The watch includes a metal case with an enamel finish, gold-plated elements, and a crown decorated with the "II" logo.

Functionality and limitations

The watch displays the time and tracks steps, heart rate, and active calories, but lacks Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile application integration, meaning it does not receive smartphone notifications. It runs on MyPlayWatch OS, combining timekeeping, customization, gameplay, and activity tracking.

Battery life and accessories

Battery life details for the model have not been disclosed, but the Mega Man version of the watch, sold at the same price, has a 230 mAh battery with four days of standby or light use and six hours of continuous gameplay. The box includes two interchangeable silicone straps, a magnetic USB charging cable, and a stand for displaying the watch.

Design for display and play

The watch is designed to display Street Fighter II characters on a shelf between fights.
