Presales for Avengers: Doomsday have begun on Monday, September 28, at 9 a.m., according to multiple reports. The film is set for release on Wednesday, December 16, with fans gathering for what is described as a major assembly of superheroes facing an unprecedented threat. The film is expected to serve as a new starting point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which has experienced highs and lows since Avengers: Endgame, despite Spider-Man: Brand New Day achieving a box office record in the United States this summer. It is one of the biggest cinema releases of 2026, with theater operators opening ticket sales nearly three months in advance. UGC and Pathé have announced the opening of presales for certain showtimes, starting on Monday, September 28, at 9 a.m. UGC stated in a message published on X on September 26 that reservations for midnight showtimes and Infinity Vision showtimes will open on Monday, September 28, at 9 a.m. The affected showtimes include the earliest sessions (starting at 00:05 on December 16) and the Infinity Vision showtimes in the best-equipped theaters at the usual price. Infinity Vision is a premium cinema format offering enhanced visual and audio experiences. The affected theaters include Les Halles, Bercy, La Défense, Issy-les-Moulineaux, O’Parinor, Parly, Sqy Ouest, Vélizy, Rosny, Plaisir, Part-Dieu, Mondeville, Montaudran, Ludres, Strasbourg, Bordeaux Gambetta, Bassins à flot, Lille, and Talence. The only exception is that the night showtimes at UGC Ciné Cité Vélizy are already accessible. Pathé Cinémas announced on X that presales for Avengers: Doomsday in 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby Cinema will open on Monday at 9 a.m., with showtimes in the best-equipped theaters prioritized. These formats offer immersive cinematic experiences with special effects such as motion seats, 3D projection, and surround sound. Reservations can be made via the website or application, with no account creation required. The Grand Rex opened its ticket office for its exceptional midnight show at 00:01 in the night of December 15 to 16, which is already sold out. Additional showtimes on December 16 include 4 a.m., 9 a.m., and 8 p.m. in VOST-FR (French-dubbed version). The rest of the schedule includes showtimes on December 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, January 1, and other dates. The Grand Rex offers the film in Infinity Vision. Reservations are recommended, as the midnight show at the Grand Rex was already sold out before the opening of UGC and Pathé presales, and other night showtimes may also sell out quickly. In most cinemas, reserving allows for seat selection, while at the Grand Rex, seating is free.
