Hickerson reportedly told them, “GPD leaked it when my girlfriend died.” Zach Hickerson, Brian’s brother, told TMZ that he and Brian found Panettiere unconscious. He said the three had planned to meet for lunch and indoor golfing on Sunday before the tragedy occurred. Zach claimed he called and texted both Brian and Panettiere but didn’t get a response. When he arrived at their Airbnb, he said he knocked loudly and woke Brian, who was napping with Panettiere on a pull-out couch. Inside, they found Panettiere unconscious and attempted to revive her. Zach said Brian administered Narcan, a medication used to counteract opioid overdoses. According to a police incident report obtained by The Independent, both brothers called 911 when they realized Panettiere was unconscious. The report noted that Zach was visibly emotional during the emergency, while Brian only showed emotion after her death was confirmed. The police report also mentions that Brian handed over a “bag of medication” belonging to Panettiere to investigators, though the specific medications were redacted from the document.
