Recall issued for Monoprix Bio growth milk

A recall has been issued for growth milk sold in France by Monoprix Bio due to the presence of an unusual odor and/or taste. The product, intended for children aged 10 months to 3 years, is being recalled and should not be consumed.

Affected product details

The affected product is the growth milk in 1L bottles and 6x1L bottle packs, sold in Monoprix stores throughout France from 22 September 2026 to 15 October 2026. The specific batches affected are 3350033877672 26245PC 6x1L with a best before date of 30 May 2027 and 3350033877665 26245PC 1L with a best before date of 30 May 2027.

Cause of the recall

The recall is due to the oxidation of the DHA oil, which causes a fishy taste and smell that intensifies upon contact with air some time after opening. This defect does not pose a risk to the baby's safety. Consumers who have purchased the product are instructed not to consume it anymore and to return it to the point of sale.
