Argentine Beef Advances with VISEC Carne

At the SIAL Paris event, Argentine Beef presented progress on VISEC Carne, a system designed to strengthen traceability of Argentine beef and to meet new European regulatory requirements. This initiative reflects the industry's commitment to adapting to evolving international standards.

Response to European Regulatory Changes

In response to changes in European regulations, the Argentine beef industry continues to implement VISEC Carne. This platform combines geolocation, satellite analysis, and legal compliance checks to ensure the tracking of product origins and to facilitate compliance with the European Union (EU) Regulation 2023/1115 regarding deforestation.

System Facilitates Importer Compliance

The system allows European importers to access the information necessary to meet their obligations for due diligence. During the SIAL Paris event, the initial results show more than 55,000 reports generated, more than 120 shipments accompanied, and more than one million cattle identification devices checked.

Industry Leader Endorses VISEC Carne

"This system allows compliance with European regulations [...] and strengthens Argentine beef in the quality standards required by international markets," states Georges Breitschmitt, president of the IPCVA (Institute for the Promotion of Argentine Beef). His comments highlight the significance of the system for the industry's global competitiveness.

Goal of Enhanced Transparency

With VISEC Carne, the industry aims to enhance the transparency of its exports and meet European professionals' expectations regarding traceability and product origin. This effort underscores Argentina's focus on maintaining trust and access in key international markets.
