Ipswich Town have signed Dutch forward Zian Flemming from Burnley for a reported fee of £20 million. The 28-year-old striker has signed a four-year contract with the East Anglian club. Flemming scored 11 league goals for Burnley last season, helping them secure promotion to the Premier League, though they were eventually relegated back to the Championship. So far this season, he has found the net three times in his first four games. Ipswich manager Gary O’Neil praised Flemming’s performance last season, calling it "impressive," and expressed his satisfaction with the signing. O’Neil highlighted Flemming’s quality, experience, and strong start to the new campaign, stating that he is a "great addition" to the squad as they continue to strengthen for the season ahead. Flemming joined Burnley from Millwall in 2025 for £7 million. After a 1-0 victory over West Ham in August, Burnley manager Nicky Yayen encouraged Flemming to remain with the club. However, Flemming has now moved to Ipswich, who recently beat Sunderland 2-1 in their first game back in the Premier League. Despite a 5-2 defeat to Manchester United in their most recent match, the club has been busy with transfers, and Flemming becomes their 12th signing of the summer. Flemming expressed pride at joining Ipswich, stating that he enjoyed his first season in the Premier League, where he competed against top players and teams. He is looking forward to continuing his career with a "great club" like Ipswich, aiming to make an impact in the top flight.
