Lufthansa Group airlines are set to gradually restart flights to and from Dubai, beginning in late October, according to a recent announcement. Once fully operational, the group plans to offer up to 36 flights per week to and from Dubai. This gradual return is expected to enhance Lufthansa’s presence in the Middle East and provide more travel options for both business and leisure travelers. Earlier this year, Lufthansa introduced new routes to Asia to respond to changing travel patterns linked to regional conflicts. The airline has committed to continuing its restructuring efforts, aiming to create a more efficient and cost-effective company for its investors. The resumption of flights follows a broader trend among airlines restoring services across the Middle East after a period of disruption caused by U.S. and Israeli military actions against Iran. However, many major carriers remain cautious, with several routes still suspended into the autumn. Dubai has been particularly affected, with several European and Asian airlines extending flight suspensions into October and beyond. Several major airlines have announced ongoing flight suspensions to Dubai and other Middle East destinations. British Airways has halted flights to Dubai, Tel Aviv, Bahrain, and Amman until October 25. Singapore Airlines has paused flights to Dubai until October 24. Cathay Pacific has suspended flights to Dubai and Riyadh until November 30, while Wizz Air has stopped services to Dubai and Abu Dhabi until October 24. Air Canada has suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai until January 2027. In contrast, Air France is working to resume its Middle East operations, with flights to Beirut suspended until September 24, but other services in the region are slowly returning.
