In September 2025, during the IFA 2025 event in Berlin, Xgimi, a company known for producing high-quality home entertainment devices, officially unveiled a new line of premium projectors. These include the Horizon 20, Horizon 20 Pro, and Horizon 20 Max models. The Horizon 20 is currently available at a promotional price, reduced by 260 euros, bringing its cost down from 1,699 euros to 1,439 euros at retailers Boulanger and Son-Vidéo. This makes it more accessible to consumers looking for a high-end projector with advanced features. The Horizon 20 is equipped with a triple RGB laser light source, which provides a longer lifespan and more consistent brightness compared to traditional lamp-based projectors. It also uses a latest-generation DLP (Digital Light Processing) chip, allowing it to project 4K images with a brightness level of 3,200 ISO Lumens. This brightness level is important for ensuring clear images even in well-lit rooms. The projector supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and IMAX Enhanced technologies, which enhance color depth and contrast, making it ideal for watching movies and other high-quality content. In addition to its imaging capabilities, the Horizon 20 includes two Harman/Kardon speakers with a combined power of 24 watts. These speakers support advanced audio formats like DTS Virtual:X, Dolby Audio, and DTS-HD, offering an immersive sound experience. For gamers, the projector features VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) technology and a minimal latency of just 1 millisecond in Full HD at 240 Hz, making it suitable for high-performance gaming. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, an optical output, a 3.5 mm jack, and support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The projector also includes features like automatic image alignment, trapezoid correction, intelligent color adaptation to the wall, and automatic eye protection for user comfort. The Horizon 20 has compact dimensions of 29.8 x 24.9 x 19 cm and includes a swivel design that allows for tilting and 360-degree rotation, making it versatile for different room setups. It runs on Google TV, providing access to a wide range of streaming apps and services. The Horizon 20 Max version of the projector offers even greater brightness, with a rating of 5,700 ISO Lumens, making it particularly suitable for larger spaces or environments with more ambient light.
