Alpine unveils the A310 Vision concept, a retro-futuristic reimagining of its 1971 A310, teasing a new model in development.
Alpine reveals A310 Vision concept
Alpine has introduced a concept version of the A310 called the A310 Vision, which reimagines the original 1971 A310 model with a "retro-futuristic" design. The company clarified that this is not a production model, though it mentioned that a new A310 is in development. The concept was unveiled through a sculpture, not at the Paris Motor Show as previously planned for the new A110 electric model.Design echoes original A310
The original A310 was a grand touring coupe designed to be more spacious and comfortable than the A110 from 1962. It had a taut, geometric look, which the A310 Vision subtly references, such as through a side glass panel integrated into a glass bubble above the cabin. The concept car is 4.55 meters long and 1.18 meters high.Stylistic and heritage elements
The A310 Vision features elongated, angular headlights, a central rear spoiler, and aerodynamic blade lights. The lower part of the car has a black treatment inspired by Alpine’s Formula 1 racing background. The "A" wheels are a tribute to the solid metal wheels of the original A310, reinforcing the connection between past and present.New platform for creative freedom
The concept showcases Alpine’s new APP platform, originally designed for electric vehicles. This platform allows for greater design and engineering flexibility, though Alpine has not yet revealed specific details about the propulsion system used in the A310 Vision.
