The **DJI Neo 2** is a small, ultra-compact drone designed for easy use, particularly for people who have never owned a drone before. It features a 4K stabilized camera mounted on a two-axis gimbal, allowing for smooth video recording even during movement. The drone currently costs 205.88 euros on the online marketplace AliExpress, with a 20 euro discount applied, bringing the price down from its original 244.51 euros. This offer is valid until 23:59 on October 7, 2026. The device is intended to simplify drone flying by eliminating the need for complex setups and offering features like hand-based takeoff and landing, as well as gesture control that lets users interact with the drone without a traditional remote. One of the key features of the **DJI Neo 2** is the Palm Return function, which allows the drone to return to the user's hand automatically without any extra input. Additionally, the SelfieShot mode automates certain types of shots by switching between different camera angles, making it ideal for capturing selfies or group photos. For tracking moving subjects, the ActiveTrack function can follow a person or object, such as during a walk or bike ride, at speeds up to 12 meters per second. This makes it useful for creating dynamic video footage without the need for a dedicated operator. The **DJI Neo 2** is equipped with an omnidirectional obstacle detection system that uses a combination of monocular vision, forward-facing LiDAR, and downward infrared sensors to identify and avoid obstacles during flight. This helps prevent collisions and makes the drone more user-friendly for beginners. The camera is based on a 12-megapixel CMOS sensor with a 1/2 inch format and an f/2.2 aperture, capable of recording 4K video at 60 frames per second. It also includes a slow-motion mode that allows 4K footage at 100 frames per second, and it supports vertical video recording up to 2.7K resolution. With 49 GB of internal storage, the **DJI Neo 2** can record videos directly on the drone, which is especially useful for 4K recordings. The device is powered by a single battery that provides up to 19 minutes of flight time. It weighs 151 grams and includes built-in propeller protections, making it easier to transport and reducing the risk of damage during handling. These features collectively make the **DJI Neo 2** an accessible and practical option for casual users looking to capture high-quality video without the complexity of more advanced drones.
