Dyson has introduced an updated version of its popular Corrale straightener, now called the Corrale CoolShine. Unlike the original, which was cordless, the new model uses a corded design, making it lighter and more compact. A standout feature is a cooling attachment that includes two sliding frames that fit over the straightener’s hot plates. These frames contain copper pipes filled with water, which help remove residual heat from hair after styling, potentially reducing the risk of heat damage. Alongside the Corrale CoolShine, Dyson has also launched the Airsmooth, a new hot brush designed for styling and drying hair. The Airsmooth features two types of bristles: some with loops at the top for a smooth finish and others with open bases that help diffuse airflow to reduce frizz and turbulence. Its teardrop shape allows for closer styling near the roots, and it includes intelligent heat control to maintain a consistent temperature during use. The Corrale CoolShine straightener has a list price of $329 in the U.S., £TBC in the U.K., and AU$499 in Australia. The Airsmooth hot brush is priced at $249 in the U.S., £199.99 in the U.K., and AU$399 in Australia. The Airsmooth is already available in the U.S. and Australia, with the Corrale CoolShine set to launch in the U.S. on September 15 and in Australia in November. Both products are part of Dyson’s ongoing efforts to innovate in the hair care market, combining advanced technology with user-friendly designs. The new models aim to provide more effective styling tools while addressing concerns about heat damage and hair health.
