Reasons to use a VPN

A virtual private network (VPN) is often used to secure internet connections on public networks, bypass location-based restrictions while traveling, or avoid targeted advertisements. These services have become increasingly popular for their ability to enhance online privacy and security.

Pricing and promotions

When choosing a VPN, the cost is a major factor. CyberGhost, a high-end service praised in several reviews, currently offers an 83% discount on its 26-month subscription, making it a cost-effective option for users seeking a reliable service at the end of the year.

Infrastructure and performance

The performance of a VPN largely depends on its infrastructure. CyberGhost has over 9,600 servers spread across 100 countries and 125 locations, allowing it to handle user traffic efficiently and maintain good data speeds. Some servers are optimized for specific activities like streaming or online gaming.

Customization and automation

CyberGhost allows users to select servers tailored to their needs, such as those optimized for streaming or file downloads. The application also automates security features, using protocols like OpenVPN, IKEv2, and WireGuard to protect user data. A built-in DNS filter blocks ads and malicious websites, enhancing privacy.

Security features

The service includes a "Kill Switch" that automatically blocks internet traffic if the VPN connection drops, preventing data leaks. Another feature, split tunneling, lets users route specific applications through the encrypted tunnel while allowing others to use the regular internet connection.

Privacy and device management

CyberGhost follows a strict no-logs policy, meaning it does not store users' IP addresses or browsing history. Its servers use RAM-only storage, erasing all data upon restart. A single subscription can protect up to seven devices, including computers, smartphones, and smart TVs.

Dedicated IP and satisfaction guarantee

Users can opt for a dedicated IP address to avoid blacklists and enhance security for activities like online banking or gaming. CyberGhost’s current promotion includes a 45-day satisfaction guarantee, giving users ample time to test the service before committing long-term.
