A new television series will air starting on Thursday, October 1st, offering viewers an unfiltered look at the French justice system through real courtroom hearings. Produced by LCP, the series will showcase various types of legal proceedings, including criminal, civil, commercial, and prud'hommal cases—these last being labor disputes—filmed in courts and appellate courts across France. The series aims to present the inner workings of the justice system without the use of dramatic reenactments or artificial staging. Each episode will begin with a brief introduction that outlines the subject of the hearing and its significance, followed by footage of actual courtroom sessions. The topics covered will include serious issues such as the fight against drug trafficking, sexual assault on minors, and criminal irresponsibility—subjects that frequently spark public debate. The series will also provide context and explanations of legal concepts through commentary from journalist Dominique Verdeilhan, a former legal commentator, alongside a judge and a lawyer. Their insights will be interspersed with footage from the actual cases being discussed, helping viewers understand the legal and social implications of each hearing. The series will be broadcast from Thursday, October 1st, to Thursday, November 5th, at 9 p.m. on LCP. It will also be available for replay on the LCP website, lcp.fr, and can be viewed directly on the LCP website. This format allows for a more in-depth understanding of the French legal process, as well as the challenges and responsibilities faced by those involved in the justice system. The series is intended to inform the public and provide a realistic portrayal of how the French justice system operates in practice.
