Google is currently working on a major update for its digital note-taking app, Keep, with a focus on making it easier to manage to-do lists. According to an analysis of version 5.26.361.01.90 of the app by Android Authority, the update introduces a floating pill toolbar—a small, movable menu—that gives users quicker access to various features. The update is primarily aimed at improving the to-do list function, including a shortcut that lets users turn a note into a list with just one action. Two of the most notable improvements are the ability to switch a list back to regular text with a single click, eliminating the need to press a separate "cancel" button. Another key addition is a button that allows users to uncheck all items in a list at once, rather than doing it one by one. These changes are intended to make managing tasks more efficient and user-friendly. The new toolbar also includes icons for adding images, drawings, and voice dictation—features that were previously hidden behind the "Add a note" button. This change is meant to streamline the process of adding content to notes, making it more intuitive for users. However, these new features are currently in beta, meaning they are being tested and may not be available to the general public for several months. It's important to note that this update is still in development and not yet finalized. Google may decide to refine or even abandon certain aspects of the update before it is officially released. As with any beta feature, there may be changes before the update becomes widely available.
