La France a un incroyable talent is a popular French television show that showcases individuals with extraordinary talents. In Ajaccio, Corsica, a unique event is set to take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Palatinu venue. The event will feature two performances, each lasting approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, and will include nine acrobatic displays. These performances are designed to highlight the physical skills crucial to the profession of firefighter, while also reflecting the colors, traditions, and history of the Paris Fire Brigade. The event will emphasize values such as strength, precision, agility, coordination, discipline, and cohesion, making it a family-friendly experience.
The performances will include gymnasts from the competition section of the GFCA (Gymnastics Federation of Ajaccio), giving young Ajaccian gymnasts the chance to share the stage with a nationally renowned team. This will be the first time the Paris Firefighters' Gymnastics Section has performed in Corsica since the creation of the Inheritor Section in 1919. The Gymnastics Section has been combining operational commitment with artistic performance for over a century, with members primarily being firefighters who undergo rigorous physical and gymnastic training. The group has performed at prestigious events, including the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Bouglione Winter Circus, and the Miss France pageant.
The idea for the event came from Frédéric Jandeaux, a former high-level athlete who became the coach of the GFCA Gymnastics in September 2025. When the club president, Lucien Rossi, asked him to plan a memorable event for the 50th anniversary, Jandeaux reached out to Benjamin Guy, who leads the gymnastics group of the Paris Firefighters Brigade. "They have never been to Corsica before. This is therefore historic and completely unprecedented on the island," said Jandeaux. The event will also serve as a tribute to the firefighters, especially after a summer marked by numerous fires in Corsica and across France.
The event will also highlight the Association for the Development of Social Works of the Paris Firefighters (ADOSSPP), which supports firefighters and their families. The preparation of the event posed significant challenges for the GFCA, including logistical and financial constraints due to the simultaneous holding of the historic Tour of Corsica. Despite these challenges, the club hopes the public will attend the two sessions, with any potential profits supporting the development of young gymnasts, including the ambition to organize a training camp in Canada. The GFCA Gymnastics, created in 1976, has grown significantly over the years and continues to pursue excellence in gymnastics. The event promises to be a memorable milestone in the club's history.
