Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal saw a thrilling finish on Sunday, with Isaac Del Toro of UAE Team Emirates – XRG claiming victory in the fifteenth edition of the race. The event, held annually in Montreal, Canada, is a key stop on the UCI WorldTour, attracting top cyclists from around the globe. In the penultimate lap, a group of favorites broke away from the main peloton, including three riders from the UAE team: Del Toro, Richard Yates, and Brandon McNulty, along with Paul Seixas from Décathlon CMA CGM. This breakaway set the stage for a dramatic final stretch of the race. Remco Evenepoel of Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe was initially left behind in a second group but managed to bridge the gap on the final climb. At 11 kilometers from the finish, Seixas made a decisive move, but no one could respond immediately. Del Toro, however, eventually caught up with the Frenchman, and the two riders formed a partnership to contest the final sprint. In a surprise move, Del Toro overtook Seixas from behind at the 200-meter mark, securing his victory in Montréal. This win comes just two weeks before the world championships, adding significance to his performance. Del Toro finished ahead of Seixas, with his teammate and reigning champion Brandon McNulty taking third place. Remco Evenepoel finished fifth, behind Quinn Simmons of Lidl-Trek, who claimed fourth place.
