EA Sports FC 27 is set to release globally on 25 September 2026, with pre-orderers of the Ultimate Edition gaining up to seven days of early access starting on 18 September. The game introduces a new open-world mode called The Grounds, a "social playground" where players can create their own footballer, explore football-themed districts, and play casual or competitive matches. This mode is inspired by The City, the social hub in the NBA 2K series, and adds a new layer of interaction and customization to the game. The Ultimate Edition, priced at £99.99, includes the early access, 6,000 FC Points distributed over three monthly drops, the Season 1 Premium Pass, an extra Football Ultimate Team Player Evolution slot, and various Career Mode bonuses. It also features cosmetic items for The Grounds, three ICONs or Heroes for Career Mode, a five-star coach and youth scout, and Double AXP consumables to help players level up Archetypes faster. EA Play members can purchase the Ultimate Edition for £89.99. The edition is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The Standard Edition of FC 27 is priced at £69.99 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and does not include early access or additional content. However, pre-orderers will receive a Dynamic OVR Pre-Season Boost for Career Mode, The Grounds Signature Sweatsuit, a Tier 3 Mbappé-inspired AMP, Double AXP consumables for 10 matches, and exclusive pre-order challenges. The Standard Edition is also available on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 at lower prices, with discounts available at certain retailers. EA Sports FC 27 will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Cross-play is supported on consoles of the same generation, allowing PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC players to play together, and PS4 and Xbox One players to play together in a separate pool. However, cross-play is not supported between PS4 and PS5 or Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 do not support cross-play.
