Browser-based version of Need for Speed Underground 2

Need for Speed Underground 2, originally released in November 2004, is now accessible directly through a browser with several technical improvements and multiplayer functionality.

Unofficial adaptation by fans

The game, which was developed by EA Black Box, is available on nfsu2.xyz as an unofficial version that allows users to play it on Chrome or Firefox through an adaptation of its original code.

Enhanced technical features

This browser-based version includes a frame rate that reaches up to 120 frames per second, better support for wide screens, and compatibility with Xbox and PlayStation controllers.

Multiplayer and save functions

Additionally, multiplayer functionality is available, allowing users to join online rooms, participate in races, and explore the city freely with friends. Save games are stored in the browser, with a save and restore function.

Setting and project status

The game allowed players to explore Bayview, an open city dedicated to street racing and tuning. Note that this adaptation remains a fan project and is not officially affiliated with Electronic Arts.
