Nîmes hosts first Halloween parade

On Saturday, October 31, the city of Nîmes will hold its first-ever Halloween parade in the city center, as announced by the communist mayor Vincent Bouget. The event aims to bring a new festive experience to residents and visitors alike.

Parade features elaborate elements

The parade will include three floats, nearly 60 dancers, a DJ, choreographed animations, and torch bearers. The route between the Maison Carrée and the Arènes square will be transformed into a major popular and spectacular event.

Fourth float adds musical element

A fourth float equipped with a DJ will set the rhythm for the parade, adding a musical dimension to the event. This element will help maintain the energy and excitement throughout the procession.

Event schedule and activities

The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7:55 p.m. Starting at 4:30 p.m., children and adults can enjoy a makeup stand near the Maison Carrée and open activities for all. This provides a pre-parade experience for attendees of all ages.

Grand parade begins at 7:30 p.m.

The grand parade will begin at 7:30 p.m., starting in front of the Maison Carrée and proceeding along Victor-Hugo Boulevard to the Arènes square. This timing ensures that the main event takes place in the evening, aligning with traditional Halloween celebrations.

Choreographed performance included

The procession will make a stop at 7:40 p.m. in front of the Saint-Paul Church for a choreographed performance before reaching the Arènes square at 7:55 p.m. for a grand finale. This adds a dramatic and artistic element to the parade's conclusion.

Hallyu Days Festival participants join

Participants of the Hallyu Days Festival – Halloween, organized on Assas Square, will also join the procession. This collaboration extends the evening dedicated to celebration and sharing, bringing more people into the festivities.
