Méjanes linked to Andalusian heritage

Méjanes, a French estate acquired by Paul Ricard in 1939, has long been connected to Andalusia, a southern region of Spain that Paul Ricard greatly admired. The estate continues to honor both Andalusian and Camargue traditions through regular events, and a new festival centered on bull culture is set to become a key attraction.

Michèle Ricard's connection to Seville

Michèle Ricard, Paul Ricard’s younger daughter and current owner of Méjanes, spends part of the year in Seville, a city in Andalusia. This personal link reinforces the estate’s commitment to celebrating Andalusian culture through its events and partnerships.

New bull culture event in partnership

A new event focused on bull culture will be organized in collaboration with the association of Andalusian women from Arles, a city known for its famous bodega during the Arles fairs. The first edition of this event promises to be particularly festive and welcoming to attendees.

Event schedule and activities

The event will take place from 10:00 to 17:00, featuring a market, an Andalusian dress-up sale, and a traditional bullfighting event called Tienta in the Méjanes bullring starting at 11:00. The Tienta will be organized by the Ganaderia Blohorn with the participation of Figuras.

Festive lunch and unique menu

A special lunch will be served at La Bergerie, featuring a menu priced at 28 euros that includes an aperitif, Camargue AOP bull's liver, and either Camargue IGP rice or Maison paella with dessert. A children’s menu for 13 euros includes options like nuggets or pasta with dessert.

Sevillian Ball and dance opportunities

Throughout the afternoon, the Mirette Ricard Hall will host a Sevillian Ball with live music from the group Los Chiquitans. Attendees will also have the chance to learn Sevillian dance during the event, adding to its cultural appeal.

Elegance contest and judging panel

An elegance contest will take place, with Françoise Margé, Freddy Porte, Delia Navarro, and Lea Jober as judges. The contest will determine the most elegantly dressed couple and individual in Andalusian costumes.
