Diablo 4, a popular action role-playing game, is now available on the Nintendo Switch 2, according to a recent report. During a press Q&A at BlizzCon, game director Brent Gibson said it was "about damn time" the game made its way to the new console. He noted that the team faced challenges during the porting process, with some moments when they thought it might be "impossible" to bring the game to the Switch 2. However, the team successfully overcame these obstacles. Gibson mentioned that some adjustments were made during the porting process, but they are "barely noticeable," and he expressed overall satisfaction with the final result. In addition to the Switch 2 release, Blizzard has launched "Diablo 4 - Season of Hell's Legacy," the game's 15th season, which became available on September 15. This new season introduces fresh content, challenges, and rewards for players. Fans of the series can also look forward to Diablo 5, which is scheduled for release in 2029. The upcoming game has generated significant excitement among the community, with many eager to see what new adventures await. Gibson addressed concerns about the future of Diablo 4, reassuring players that the game will continue to receive updates and support even after Diablo 5 is released. He dismissed fears that the series might be ending, stating, "If you're wearing the sign in the middle of Times Square that says 'The End is Nigh,' the end is not nigh. We have a lot coming." His comments reflect Blizzard's commitment to the Diablo franchise, emphasizing that there are still many exciting developments on the horizon. The release of Diablo 4 on the Nintendo Switch 2 marks a significant milestone for the series, expanding its accessibility to a broader audience. With the continued development of new seasons and the upcoming Diablo 5, the franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Players can expect more content, storylines, and gameplay features in the years to come.
