New film adaptation of "Le Mystère Lucy Lost"
"Le Mystère Lucy Lost," an adaptation of a novel by Michael Morpurgo, is set to appear in cinemas. The film, directed by Olivier Clert, is based on a screenplay co-written by the director himself and Helen Blakeman. Film's background and inspiration
The animated feature film is set for release on October 28 and brings to life the eponymous novel published in France in 2015 under the title "Le mystère de Lucy Lost," in a translation by Diane Ménard, by Gallimard Jeunesse. The film's producer, Marc du Pontavice, discovered the novel "a bit by chance in 2017" and purchased the adaptation rights because he found the story about memory, identity, and tolerance "passionate and current." The cast includes Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, and Nonso Anozie. Additionally, "The Corset," by Louis Clichy, is set to appear in theaters starting October 14. The artistic direction was handled by author Cécile Guillard, who previously won several awards at the Annecy Festival. International and diverse releases
