This summer, three robot vacuum cleaners stood out for their performance and features: the Anker eufy Omni S2, the Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni, and the iRobot Roomba Plus 415 Combo. Each offers unique advantages, though they also have distinct drawbacks. The Anker eufy Omni S2 is a high-end model with a self-cleaning HydroJet 2.0 roller, strong suction, and the ability to cross obstacles like small steps. It also includes a 12-in-1 docking station with proprietary detergent and fragrances. However, it lacks a "suction then clean" mode, meaning users may need to adjust settings manually. It also does not include a remote camera function, and its 250 mL water tank requires frequent refilling. Priced at 1,399 euros, it’s considered a premium option. The Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni is a mid-range robot vacuum with a low profile of 95 mm, allowing it to move easily under furniture. It features a continuously rinsed roller, good suction, and a highly efficient navigation system using LiDAR technology, which helps it map and clean spaces accurately. The robot also includes a PowerBoost feature that gives it extra energy during cleaning. Priced at 577 euros, it offers a good balance of quality and price, though it struggles with thick carpets and has a somewhat complex app interface. The iRobot Roomba Plus 415 Combo marks the return of iRobot to the robot vacuum market. It features improved cleaning along walls and skirting boards, but its obstacle detection is somewhat unreliable. Priced at 319 euros, it’s seen as a budget-friendly option that delivers decent overall cleaning performance. It also has a compact design and a docking station that blends well with most home interiors. Each model has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, making them suitable for different household needs and budgets. The Anker eufy Omni S2 offers top-tier features but at a high cost, the Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni provides a good mix of performance and affordability, and the iRobot Roomba Plus 415 Combo is a more affordable choice with some limitations in navigation.
