Abraham Lincoln is considered one of the most influential American presidents. Throughout his life, he championed the ideals of freedom and equality. Born in 1809 in the United States into a poor family, Lincoln helped his parents from an early age and had limited access to formal schooling. However, he was passionate about reading and continued his education through self-study while working. Eventually, he earned a law degree and became the 16th president of the United States. His leadership was crucial during a time of great turmoil. The following year, a conflict erupted between the North and the South of the country, marking the beginning of the American Civil War. Lincoln worked to gain public support to unite the North, promoting the abolition of slavery, which helped him secure victory and reunite the country. His efforts to end slavery and preserve the Union are among his most significant contributions to American history. The online excerpt provides a detailed look at Lincoln's early life and his journey toward becoming president. It highlights his struggles, his dedication to learning, and his commitment to the principles of freedom and equality. This manga aims to make history engaging and accessible for young readers, offering both entertainment and educational value. The full release will include additional historical insights and illustrations to enhance the reader's understanding of Lincoln's impact on the United States.
