Belgian singer Angèle has unveiled the fourth single from her upcoming album Instinct, titled "Love Triangle." The track is set to release alongside the full album on October 16, 2026. Created in collaboration with producer SebastiAn, known for his work with Charlotte Gainsbourg and his role in the French Touch music movement, the song features the voice of Caroline Polachek. Angèle described being captivated by the "totally crazy arpeggio loop" in the track's early stages. Polachek, who recorded her part in Los Angeles, shared that she and Angèle had both performed at the same jazz bar in Brussels, L’Archiduc, during their teenage years. Angèle has built a reputation for successful collaborations, including a 2020 hit with Dua Lipa titled "Fever," which gained international acclaim. She also delivered an electrifying cover of "Nightcall" during the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, performing alongside Kavinsky and Phœnix. This performance was later released as a single. Earlier this year, she worked with the electronic duo Justice on the track "What You Want," which marked the first single from Instinct. So far, Angèle has released four tracks from Instinct, each highlighting a shift toward a more confident and radical style of electronic pop. One of these, "Dis-le," encourages listeners to express their inner voice and break free from silence. The track is co-produced by Angèle and Tristan Salvati, incorporating rhythms inspired by jersey club music and vocal elements that align with the hyperpop trend. Jersey club is a style of dance music originating in the U.S., while hyperpop is a genre that blends pop with experimental electronic sounds. The Instinct album represents a new chapter in Angèle's career, set to release on October 16, 2026. At 30 years old, the Belgian artist is embracing a more experimental sound, reflecting her artistic evolution and the broader trends in contemporary pop music.
