The Japanese manga series Hirayasumi, created by Keigo Shinzô, is nearing its end. After the release of a new chapter this Monday, the author shared on his X account that only two more chapters will be published before the story concludes. This information was also included at the end of the pre-published chapter, giving fans a clear timeline for the series' completion. Hirayasumi launched in 2021 in the Big Comic Spirits publication by Shôgakukan, a well-known Japanese publisher of manga. The series is expected to span 11 volumes in total, with the first 10 already available in France through Le Lézard Noir editions. Following the conclusion of the pre-publication phase, the story will continue through an animated adaptation scheduled for broadcast in January 2027. While no official details have been confirmed yet, fans are hopeful that a simulcast—where the show is broadcast simultaneously in multiple countries—will be available in other regions. This transition from manga to animation is a common practice in the industry, allowing wider accessibility and expanding the audience for popular stories. Hirayasumi follows Hiroto Ikuta, a 29-year-old part-time employee living a quiet life in a small inherited house. His routine is disrupted when his 18-year-old cousin, Natsumi, who is studying art in Tokyo, moves in with him. This change brings new challenges and introduces Hiroto to individuals whose lives are more complicated than his own. The series explores themes of family, personal growth, and the complexities of human relationships, drawing readers into a narrative that balances everyday life with deeper emotional struggles. The anticipation for the final chapters and the upcoming animated series has grown among fans, who have followed the story since its debut. As the manga approaches its conclusion, readers are left with a mix of excitement and nostalgia, looking forward to seeing how the characters' journeys will ultimately unfold. The transition to animation is expected to bring the story to an even broader audience, offering a new way to experience the world of Hirayasumi.
