Gangbé Brass Band's international reputation

Well known among Afro Jazz enthusiasts, the Beninese music group Gangbé Brass Band has been energizing the international scene for nearly thirty years.

Location and local engagement

Based since 2022 at the Beuzec-Cap-Sizun music studio, near Douarnenez (Finistère), they are involved in numerous local cultural events.

Community support for the group

However, since July, the group members have been targeted by an OQTF: a significant citizen and associative mobilization has been formed to support the artists.

What is an OQTF?

An OQTF, or "Organization for the Protection of the Freedom of Expression and Artistic Creation," is a grassroots initiative aimed at defending artists and cultural workers against threats or challenges they face.
