The first true puzzle in Silent Hill: Townfall is found in the pharmacy section of the game. To move forward, players must decipher a hidden message in a mysterious video, locate several posters scattered throughout the area, and use them to determine the combination needed to open a locker. This pharmacy locker is one of the early challenges in the game that requires players to cross-reference multiple clues. A strange video, visible on a CRTV screen, serves as the main clue. The video features blurry, tightly framed images of various elements found within the building. While the visuals might appear confusing at first, all the necessary clues to solve the puzzle are located inside the clinic itself. To reconstruct the locker code, players must examine the posters that correspond to the sequences shown in the video. Each poster provides a number, and the order in which they appear in the video determines the final combination. The first poster, titled Washing my hands, is located in the toilets and shows six fingers, giving the number 6. The second poster, Prescription drugs and you, is found in the corridor to the right of the telephone. It features five steps, which corresponds to the number 5. The third poster, Blood pressure, is near the window at the front of the room. The number 3, visible on a blood pressure device, is the third element of the code. The final poster, Taking Antibiotics, is placed on a notice board near the lockers. Players must count the remaining pills on the tablet to determine the number 9. Following the order shown in the video, the four numbers are 6, 5, 3, and 9, forming the combination 6539. Once the combination 6539 is entered, the locker opens, allowing players to retrieve a prescription mentioned by an answering machine when the clinic’s reception door is opened. This item is not just a reward for solving the puzzle; it is also essential for continuing with another puzzle in the area involving three scales. Therefore, it is crucial to obtain the prescription before moving forward in the clinic. Silent Hill: Townfall has been available since September 24 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
