Three burglaries reported in French department

Three separate burglaries were reported on the same day in different areas of a French department, according to the gendarmerie, the military police force responsible for rural areas in France. Each incident occurred in a different commune, with the victims absent during the time of the break-ins.

First burglary in Mandeure

The first burglary took place in Mandeure, within the Étupes brigade community, between 8:30 and 13:00. The property owner was not present during this time, and the intruder or intruders forced open a basement shutter and an adjacent window to gain entry into the home. A search of the first floor was conducted, and jewelry was stolen.

Second burglary in Audeux

The second burglary occurred in Audeux, within the École-Valentin brigade community. The victim had been away from home for a week and discovered the break-in upon returning. The garage door was forced open, and the house was searched, but the gendarmerie did not specify what items were stolen in this case.

Third burglary in Roche-lez-Beaupré

The third burglary was reported in Roche-lez-Beaupré, within the Roulans brigade community. It allegedly occurred between 18:00 and 20:45 while the property owner was absent. The intruder or intruders forced open a window and searched the house. At first glance, jewelry may have been stolen, but the gendarmerie did not confirm this.

No link established between incidents

The gendarmerie has not found any connection between the three burglaries and has not determined whether the same individuals were involved in all three incidents. Each case is being investigated separately.
