WTT Champions return to Montpellier

The WTT Champions of Montpellier are set to return to the Sud de France Arena from October 27 to November 1. This event will feature the world’s top table tennis players competing in a prestigious tournament.

Felix Lebrun aims for home victory

Felix Lebrun, who won the tournament in 2024, will try to reclaim the title in front of his home crowd. He defeated Japanese player Tomokazu Harimoto in the final that year, becoming the first French player to win the event.

Lebrun brothers face challenges

In 2025, Felix was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Simon Gauzy, while his brother Alexis reached the semifinals before losing to Swedish player Truls Moregard, who won the tournament. Both brothers, however, had successful runs at the European Championships this year.

French players face tough matches

Felix Lebrun will face Danish player Anders Lind on Tuesday at 6:30 PM, while his brother Alexis will play German Patrick Franziska on Wednesday at 8:15 PM. The two could potentially meet in the quarterfinals if they both win their opening matches.

Other French players compete

Three other French men—Thibault Poret, Flavien Coton, and Simon Gauzy—will also participate in the men’s draw. Matches will feature top international players, including Swedish Truls Moregard and Japanese Tomokazu Harimoto.

French women make their mark

Camille Lutz, Prithika Pavade, and Jia Nan Yuan will compete in the women’s draw. Lutz will face Chinese star Sun Yingsha on Tuesday, while Pavade and Yuan will enter the competition on Wednesday. The tournament will continue until Sunday, November 1, with all matches broadcast on L'Équipe channel and L'Équipe live.
