A man discovered rare LEGO sets and valuable pieces in a used box purchased for approximately 65 euros, according to a report shared on the LEGO subreddit by user al3xanderthegoat. The box, bought by his father for around 75 dollars, contained a mix of old sets and pieces that are highly sought after by collectors. LEGO, a popular toy brand known for its interlocking plastic bricks, has a dedicated community of enthusiasts who collect and trade sets, especially those that are rare or from earlier years. Among the items found were parts from the Fort Legoredo 6769 set, a large Western construction set launched in 1996 with 687 pieces and 10 minifigures. According to the user, the set is nearly complete, and used examples can sell for between 215 and 295 dollars, while a new sealed copy could be worth over 1,000 dollars. The value of these sets often increases over time due to their rarity and the nostalgia associated with them. Other notable pieces identified included a Forestwoman minifigure with reference cas319, originally part of the Forestmen's Crossing 6071 set from 1990. According to BrickEconomy, a used example in very good condition can sell for around 140 euros. Additional sets potentially present in the box include pieces from the Dark Dragon's Den 6076, Bandit's Secret Hide-Out 6761, and Broadside's Brig 6259. These sets, when complete, can sell for between 30 and 130 dollars in used condition. The box also contained various minifigures and sets from different LEGO universes, including Star Wars, the Western, knights, and pirates. However, the user noted that it is unclear whether all the sets are complete. The user has not yet published a full inventory of the box's contents but has indicated that he may share it in the future, allowing the Reddit community to provide further estimates. For now, the value of the contents appears to far exceed the 65 euros paid for the box.
