The Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller for the Nintendo Switch 2 is a third-party gaming peripheral designed to offer enhanced features and customizable aesthetics for Switch 2 players. It includes RGB lighting, motion control capabilities, and a range of officially licensed designs inspired by popular Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and Fortnite. The controller is built with features such as built-in motion control, never-drift TMR thumbsticks, a dedicated GameChat button for voice communication, and a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 40 hours (or 12 hours with RGB lighting enabled). It also has a 30-foot wireless range, making it suitable for use in various gaming environments. The controller’s design includes buttons on the back that can be programmed for in-game actions or used as fidget toys, offering a unique tactile experience. Most models feature RGB lighting with four different settings, though the Super Mario Jump edition omits this feature. The controller is lightweight, weighing 0.79 pounds, and has a slim, compact form similar to the official Switch 2 Pro Controller. Its face buttons are made of stiff, hard plastic with letters carved into them, and it includes clicky triggers and bumpers for precise control. The analog sticks are smooth and provide a crisp click when reaching the edges of their movement range. The player indicator, which shows whose turn it is in multiplayer games, is located on the bottom of the controller. However, it lacks haptic feedback, meaning it doesn’t vibrate or provide physical sensations during gameplay, and it cannot wake up the Switch 2 console on its own. The controller comes in a variety of officially licensed designs, including the Rosalina edition with a rainbow wave of stars, the KK Slider edition featuring Animal Crossing’s KK under a night sky, and the Timmy and Tommy edition with twin raccoons. Other options include Mario Kart World, Koopa Troop, Mario and Luigi, and a charcoal black model with red rings around the sticks. A special Fortnite Kevin the Cube edition is available with a purple ombre colorway and light-up sigils, priced at $70, which also includes an in-game emote. Standard models are generally priced at $65 and are often available on sale for $50 or less, making it a budget-friendly option for players looking to enhance their Switch 2 experience with a stylish and feature-rich controller.
