GE Aerospace raises annual outlook

GE Aerospace announced on October 20 that it is raising its annual financial projections, citing an 18% increase in adjusted revenue for the third quarter, which reached $13.3 billion. This follows strong performance across multiple business segments and operational improvements.

Operating income sees significant increase

The company reported a 30% rise in operating income, reaching $3 billion for the quarter. This increase reflects improved efficiency and higher sales volumes across its product lines and services.

Commercial Engines & Services revenue growth

The Commercial Engines & Services (CES) division reported revenue of $10.3 billion in the third quarter, a 21% increase from the previous year. This growth was driven by higher service revenue and equipment sales, supported by strong demand for its products.

Service revenue and spare parts sales rise

Service revenue for CES increased by 17%, while spare parts sales grew by more than 20%. These gains were supported by a rise in engine visits to its own workshops and larger service scopes, with the LEAP engine family seeing a volume increase of over 40%.

Equipment and engine deliveries grow

Equipment sales rose by 38%, and engine deliveries increased by 8% in the third quarter. The LEAP family of engines, produced by CFM International, saw a 5% increase in deliveries, with over nine months showing a 26% rise in total deliveries.

Outlook for 2027 includes strong growth expectations

GE Aerospace anticipates double-digit growth in commercial service revenue for 2027, supported by a backlog of more than $170 billion. The company also revised its annual revenue and operating income targets upward, reflecting confidence in future performance.
