Mylène Farmer's song for Scrooge

Mylène Farmer has written and performed the original song for the film Scrooge, which is set to be released in theaters on November 11, 2026. The film is directed by Ti West and adapted from Charles Dickens's Christmas story A Christmas Carol.

Collaboration with Ti West

The press release from October 21 noted that the association with Ti West appears natural due to shared artistic elements such as a taste for mystery, dark atmospheres, black romanticism, literary references, and a fascination with the torments of the human soul.

Cast of Scrooge

The film's cast includes Johnny Depp, Rupert Grint, Daisy Ridley, and Ian McKellen. Following his defamation victory in 2022, Johnny Depp has reappeared in cinema and is set to appear in Scrooge as Ebenezer Scrooge.

Depp's other projects

In addition to Scrooge, Depp has completed filming for Day Drinker by Marc Webb, with Penélope Cruz, scheduled for release in March 2027. Another adaptation of Charles Dickens's classic is in development by Robert Eggers, with Willem Dafoe playing Ebenezer Scrooge.

Mylène Farmer's new album

Mylène Farmer also released her thirteenth studio album, Égrégore, on October 30, four years after her album L'Emprise. She has released the singles C'est à qui le tour and Des lols et des quoi, and confirmed a collaboration with DJ Snake.

Mylène Farmer's career achievements

With nearly 35 million records sold, Farmer has had 21 of her singles reach number one in sales, including eight consecutive ones. She is also the only female artist to have placed an album at the top of the French sales charts across five different decades. Her stadium tour Nevermore in 2023 and 2024, concluding with three shows at the Stade de France, attracted 650,000 spectators and became the largest ever in its category by a female artist in France.
