The Asus Gaming V16 laptop is currently available at a discounted price of 1,199.99 euros, down from its original 1,799.99 euros, at Boulanger. This laptop is designed for both gaming and content creation, offering a range of high-end features. It includes 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, 512 GB of PCIe 4.0 storage, and a 16-inch IPS screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The screen is capable of covering 100% of the sRGB color space, which is ideal for accurate color representation in both gaming and creative tasks. The laptop is powered by the Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, which is marketed as the Ryzen 7 170. This 2023 processor features eight Zen 3+ cores and can boost up to 4.75 GHz, providing strong performance for multitasking and intensive applications. It is paired with the RTX 5060 Laptop graphics card, which includes 8 GB of GDDR7 memory and supports advanced technologies like ray-tracing, DLSS 4, and Frame Generation. These features enhance visual fidelity and performance in modern games and graphic-intensive applications. The Asus Gaming V16 is relatively slim, measuring between 18 and 23 mm in thickness and weighing 1.95 kg. It includes an IceCool cooling system with two fans, two heat pipes, and two air outlets, which help manage heat during extended use. The keyboard is backlit and includes a numeric keypad, making it user-friendly for both gaming and productivity. However, the laptop lacks a fingerprint reader and Windows Hello facial recognition, and it includes only a Full HD webcam. In terms of connectivity, the laptop offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB-A ports, a USB-C port (compatible with DisplayPort and charging), an HDMI 2.1 output, and a headphone jack. It does not include Ethernet, an SD card reader, or Thunderbolt ports. The screen's brightness of 300 cd/m² makes it less suitable for outdoor use or bright environments. The 512 GB storage, while sufficient for many users, may fill up quickly with large games or creative projects, though the laptop allows for an upgrade to 32 GB of RAM.
