Nothing has unveiled its most affordable smartphone, the Phone (4b), which features an in-house design with a translucent back and a unique Glyph interface integrated into the camera module. The device places a strong emphasis on screen quality and battery life, two essential factors in the budget smartphone market. During Amazon's Prime Flash Days, the Phone (4b) is offered at nearly 10% below its standard price. Normally priced at 349 euros, the device drops to 319 euros during the promotional period. The Phone (4b) includes a large 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2344 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, making it highly readable in bright outdoor conditions. It is equipped with a 5,200 mAh battery, the largest ever used in a Nothing smartphone, and supports 33 W wired charging. The design draws from previous models, combining the monocoque back of the Phone (4a) Pro with the new Glyph Bar from the Phone (4a). The translucent effect is more subdued, primarily found in the camera module, but the visual appeal of the light band on the back, now powered by 45 individually controllable mini-LEDs, remains a standout feature. The Phone (4b) is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, a slightly lower-tier chip compared to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 used in the Phone (4a), but it is still considered adequate for everyday tasks. The smartphone runs on Nothing OS 4.1, which is based on Android 16, offering a smooth user experience with AI features. It also includes three years of Android updates and six years of security patches. The camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel stabilized main lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
