Political meeting planned for October 22

Manuel Bompard, the national coordinator of La France insoumise, has announced plans to demand "apologies" from Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu during a scheduled meeting at Matignon on Thursday, October 22.

Bompard's demands and criticisms

Bompard stated on BFMTV-RMC that he will attend the meeting alongside other political parties to seek "explanations" and "political responses to the anger of the youth." He criticized Lecornu for what he described as a "strategy of decay."

Accusations of manipulation and blame

Bompard also accused Lecornu of "manipulations" and claimed that the Prime Minister is attempting to make it appear that La France insoumise is responsible for violence the party has always rejected. He specifically referenced events of Saturday, which included the burning or damage of town halls.

Condemnation of Lecornu's strategy

La France insoumise officials have condemned Lecornu's approach and questioned why he "chose to make threats and violence the core of his strategy." They expressed frustration with what they see as an attempt to shift blame onto their party.
