Helvepic has announced that ticket sales will begin for the Epic Montreux 2027 event, scheduled to take place on March 5 and 6, 2027, at the Auditorium Stravinski in Switzerland. This festival is described as an international gathering focused on "Epic" music, a genre often associated with grand, cinematic soundtracks used in films and trailers. The event will feature a concert by the German musical collective 2WEI, known for creating cinematic compositions that have been used in many movie trailers and video games. The concert will be performed alongside Edda Hayes and the Tale of Fantasy Choir & Orchestra, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2027. The group includes over 200 singers and musicians, featuring a full symphonic orchestra, choir, and vocal performances. This collaboration promises a unique blend of orchestral and choral music with a modern twist. In addition to the concert, the Epic Montreux 2027 festival will host an international composition contest open from September 16 to November 8, 2026. Three finalists will be selected to have their compositions performed live by the orchestra and choir. Composer Russell Brower, who has won three Emmy Awards and currently serves as Audio & Music Director at CD PROJEKT RED, will be the first patron of the festival and will help evaluate the contest entries. The festival will also include various activities such as masterclasses, panels, meetings, and professional events aimed at fostering collaboration and learning among artists and industry professionals. Ticket sales will open on October 1, 2026, with Early Bird tickets available until October 18, offering a discounted price for early buyers.
