To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the popular Pixar movie Cars, the iconic character Flash McQueen will make a special appearance at the Italian Grand Prix, though he will not be participating in the race itself. The event will take place at the historic Monza circuit, one of the most prestigious tracks in Formula 1. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC, which has been the official safety car for Formula 1 since the Hungarian Grand Prix, will continue to serve its usual role during the race. However, for this special occasion, the car will be adorned with a livery inspired by Flash McQueen, paying tribute to the animated racing legend. A full-size replica of Flash McQueen will be on display at Monza, including a special honor lap on Saturday, September 5, during the "Flash McQueen Day." This event is part of an ongoing partnership between Formula 1 and Disney, which has been extended through 2028. The collaboration highlights the connection between the world of motorsports and the imaginative universe of Cars. To further celebrate the partnership, an exclusive F1 x Cars collection will be released, featuring clothing, accessories, collectibles, and miniatures signed by Mattel. This collection is designed to bring the spirit of both Formula 1 and the Cars franchise to fans around the world.
