Azamara has announced the 2029 Azamara world tour, a cruise that will begin in San Diego and end in Copenhagen. The journey will include 126 unique ports, with 12 of them being new destinations. The cruise will spend 16 nights in each port and include 60 late departures, allowing passengers more time to explore each location. Two shorter versions of the cruise, lasting 179 and 139 nights, will be available for booking starting October 14, 2026. The full journey will take 195 nights to complete. The cruise will begin with a departure from San Diego, heading towards Hawaii and the South Pacific. From there, the ship will travel to New Zealand, Australia, Asia, and Japan. The itinerary then continues to Alaska, North America, and Central America before crossing the Panama Canal into the Atlantic Ocean. This route allows for a broad exploration of both the Pacific and Atlantic sides of the world. After crossing into the Atlantic, the cruise will make stops in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and France before heading into Northern Europe. The final leg of the journey will cover 12 European countries, including Germany, Denmark, Poland, Finland, Latvia, and Sweden. This extensive route offers passengers a chance to experience a wide range of cultures, landscapes, and historical sites across multiple continents. Davis Siewers, international sales director of Azamara Cruises, emphasized that a world tour is not simply about visiting many places. "A world tour is not about accumulating destinations on a list. It is mainly about taking the time to fully experience them," he said. This philosophy underscores the cruise company's focus on providing meaningful and immersive travel experiences for its passengers.
