The Lenovo LOQ Essential 15ARP11 is a gaming laptop aimed at newcomers who want to start playing PC games without spending a lot of money. It’s currently on sale in France for less than 1,200 euros during the French Days, a major online shopping event, down from its usual price of nearly 1,500 euros. The laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD screen with a high 144 Hz refresh rate, an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and an RTX 5060 graphics card. It also includes a 512 GB solid-state drive (SSD) for faster performance and quick load times. The Lenovo LOQ Essential 15ARP11 has a distinctive, angular design with raised edges, typical of gaming laptops. While it is not the most lightweight or slim in its category—weighing 2.3 kg and measuring 2.29 cm thick—it is still more subdued in style compared to some of its competitors. The laptop is equipped with a variety of ports, including USB-A, USB-C, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, and a 3.5 mm audio jack, making it versatile for connecting to different devices. Its 15.6-inch IPS Full HD screen offers wide viewing angles and a smooth experience, especially during fast-paced gaming or web browsing, thanks to the 144 Hz refresh rate. Inside the laptop, the AMD Ryzen 7 processor has 8 cores and can boost up to 4.75 GHz, making it capable of handling demanding tasks. Paired with 16 GB of RAM, it ensures smooth multitasking and responsiveness. The RTX 5060 graphics card supports modern gaming features like ray tracing and DLSS 4, allowing for decent performance in 1080p resolution, though not at the highest graphical settings. This GPU is limited to a 65 W power envelope, which helps reduce heat and energy consumption but also limits its maximum performance compared to more powerful variants. The laptop includes a 512 GB SSD for fast boot times and quick access to files and games. However, its battery capacity is only 60 Wh, which provides around five hours of use before needing to be plugged in. While this is sufficient for casual use or short gaming sessions, it’s not ideal for long periods away from a power source. Overall, the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15ARP11 offers a solid entry-level setup for those looking to get into PC gaming without breaking the bank.
