An Austrian man known as Beran A., who was involved in a plot to attack Taylor Swift concerts, had his legal claim against Disney dismissed on Wednesday, September 30. The claim was about damages related to the broadcast of images showing the address of his parents' home. Beran A.'s lawyer, Ulrike Zeller, argued that the exposure of this information put her client's privacy and safety at risk, as the images were seen by "millions of people." The plaintiff claimed that Disney+, a streaming service owned by The Walt Disney Company, revealed the location in a documentary series about Taylor Swift's 2024 tour. The defense, led by Georg Kresbach, a lawyer for The Walt Disney Company, stated that the disputed part of the documentary was removed in May, shortly after the complaint was filed. He also mentioned that Beran A.'s parents, who still live at the address, were each given 3,000 euros as part of a separate agreement. Judge Nicole Baczak ruled that the plaintiff had not proven a "concrete threat" to Beran A.'s rights, and Beran A. has since announced plans to appeal the decision. Beran A. was sentenced to 15 years in prison in May for multiple offenses, primarily related to terrorism. He was involved in planning an attack on one of Taylor Swift's Vienna concerts, which were canceled in 2024 after Austrian authorities warned of a plot by the Islamic State group. The documentary Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, which explores the behind-the-scenes aspects of the singer's worldwide tour, first aired in December 2025 as a six-episode series.
