The cast for the sixth season of The Traitors USA has been officially announced, with the show set to premiere in 2027. Based on a British format that has gained popularity in the U.S. since its 2023 launch, The Traitors is a social deduction game set in a remote Scottish Highlands castle. Contestants are divided into two groups: the Faithful, who aim to identify and eliminate the hidden Traitors, and the Traitors, who work to mislead and eliminate the Faithful to win a cash prize. A new spin-off, The Traitors: New Blood, which features everyday people instead of celebrities, recently premiered. Season six of the show will be hosted by actor and comedian Alan Cumming and will include a mix of reality TV personalities, internet influencers, actors, musicians, and athletes. The cast includes notable figures such as Dominic Monaghan, known for his role in The Lord of the Rings; Kristin Chenoweth, a Tony and Emmy award-winning actress; and Cynthia Bailey, a star of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Other contestants include Bianca Del Rio from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, singer Cody Simpson, and NFL star Rashad Jennings, among many others. The most recent season of The Traitors USA was marked by controversy and dramatic twists. It featured U.K. Love Island favorite Maura Higgins, Olympic figure skaters Tara Lipinski and Jonny Weir, and K-pop star Eric Nam. In the final episode, Love Island U.S. star Rob Rausch convinced Higgins that they were both Faithful and could split the prize money, leading to the banishment of his fellow Traitor, Eric Nam. In a shocking twist, Rausch and Higgins revealed their true identities, with Higgins learning that Rausch had been a Traitor all along and had tricked her out of her share of the prize. Following the show, Higgins expressed her disappointment and stated she would only forgive Rausch if he bought her a luxury Hermès Birkin bag. Rausch honored her request, using part of his winnings from the show to purchase the purse. This dramatic conclusion highlighted the intense psychological and social dynamics that define The Traitors series, which continues to captivate audiences with its mix of strategy, deception, and high stakes.
