The Netgear Orbi 770 mesh router system has been highly praised in recent reviews, earning a 4.5-star rating for its performance and value. It is now available at its lowest price ever on Amazon, with the three-pack model costing £579 (originally £759). This system is part of the Wi-Fi 7 generation, which offers faster speeds and better connectivity than previous Wi-Fi standards. The Orbi 770 is a tri-band system, meaning it uses three separate frequency bands to manage data traffic more efficiently, and it can reach speeds of up to 11Gbps. It is designed to cover up to 6,750 square feet, making it ideal for large homes or offices. The system supports multiple connected devices, up to 100, and features a 2.5 Gig internet port for high-speed fiber connections. The three-pack includes one main router and two satellite units, which work together to eliminate dead zones—areas with weak or no Wi-Fi signal—across larger spaces. For those who don’t need coverage for an entire large home, the two-pack model is also available at £450 (originally £550). This version was also rated 4.5 stars for its performance, offering excellent connectivity for both home users and small businesses. While it is less expensive than the flagship Orbi 970 series, it still delivers strong performance without compromising on features. During testing, it was particularly effective at extending Wi-Fi to hard-to-reach areas of a home. A user-friendly app is included with the Orbi 770, allowing users to set up guest Wi-Fi networks and manage IoT (Internet of Things) devices easily. While some advanced features require an optional subscription, the basic setup is straightforward. The Orbi 770 was named the top pick in a recent guide on the best mesh Wi-Fi systems, offering a strong balance of performance and affordability compared to the more expensive Orbi 970. At its current price, it is also competitive with the Amazon eero 7 Pro. If you need comprehensive Wi-Fi 7 coverage for a large home or business, especially if you have many devices or a high-speed fiber connection, the Orbi 770 is a solid choice. However, if you live in a smaller space where a single router or a two-pack system would suffice, or if you don’t currently use Wi-Fi 7-compatible devices and have no plans to upgrade, the Orbi 770 might be more than you need.
