The Limoges CSP, a professional basketball team from France, will host their first match of the season at Beaublanc against Saint-Quentin. Saint-Quentin surprised many by defeating JL Bourg during the opening day of the Betclic ELITE league. Ahead of the match, Andrew Albicy, a key player for Limoges, reflected on the challenges faced by the team in their recent game in Chalon-sur-Saône, where they lost despite winning three of the four quarters. He emphasized the need to improve their defensive intensity, especially against Saint-Quentin, which has already shown it can beat strong teams. During the game in Chalon-sur-Saône, Limoges struggled in the third quarter, failing to match the physicality of their opponents. Albicy pointed out that the team's inability to maintain energy and intensity during this period cost them the match. He stressed that the team must learn from this experience and understand that in this league, physicality and intensity are crucial. If they fail to meet these standards, they risk losing more matches like this one. Saint-Quentin has already demonstrated its potential by defeating Bourg-en-Bresse, a team considered among the top in the league. Albicy noted that this victory shows Saint-Quentin has offensive talent, particularly in the guard positions. He warned that Saint-Quentin is an unpredictable team that fights hard and knows how to use its strengths effectively. Limoges will need to make it difficult for Saint-Quentin to score and create uncomfortable situations for them. For Limoges, this match is a chance to start their season on a positive note at home. The team aims to avoid repeating the mistakes made in their previous game and to control the pace of the match more effectively. Albicy expressed excitement about the home crowd and shared his coach, Arnaud Tessier's, goal of turning Beaublanc into a difficult venue for opponents. He believes that with the support of the fans, the team can achieve this and build confidence for future away games. Facing Saint-Quentin, the Limoges players are aware that they must show more consistency to secure their first win of the season in front of their home crowd.
