Discounted GPS watch available

The Garmin Forerunner 165, a GPS watch designed for running and fitness tracking, is available on AliExpress at a discounted price of 175.54 euros, which is 21% less than the original price of 222.77 euros.

Design and usability features

The watch features a 1.2-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390 × 390 pixels, providing clear display of running data even during movement. It weighs 39 grams and has a 43 mm case, making it discreet on the wrist during prolonged use. Five physical buttons complement the touchscreen, helping to avoid accidental presses during runs.

Fitness and performance tracking

The Forerunner 165 includes integrated GPS to record routes and provide information on distance, pace, and speed. It also measures heart rate at the wrist and estimates VO₂ max to give a comprehensive overview of performance and how the body reacts to training. Garmin Coach offers dedicated programs to prepare for runs, while PacePro helps define a pacing strategy based on the route. These features make the watch suitable for both beginners and those looking to better organize their training sessions.

Health and lifestyle monitoring

The watch tracks sleep, stress, and resting heart rate, and its Body Battery function estimates energy reserves based on physiological data. These indicators can help identify when it is preferable to take a break, though they do not replace listening to one's own sensations or a medical opinion. It supports swimming in pools and has a water resistance of 5 ATM. Garmin claims up to 11 days of battery life in connected watch mode and up to 19 hours with GPS activated, depending on usage conditions.

Smartphone connectivity and limitations

When connected to a compatible smartphone, the watch can display notifications and incoming calls. It also supports Garmin Pay for contactless payments with compatible banks. It is important to note that this standard model has 4 GB of memory but does not allow for storing music, unlike the Garmin Forerunner 165 Music version.
