Fort Saint-André becomes medieval setting

Fort Saint-André will be transformed into a medieval environment as part of the Monument jeu d'enfant event on October 17 and 18. This event marks the 800th anniversary of the fort and invites visitors to explore its history through immersive experiences.

Historical costumes available for visitors

Visitors of all ages will be able to wear historical costumes designed by Laurence Magnanelli, a professional costumier who specializes in historical attire. These costumes are part of the event’s effort to blend heritage with interactive, costume-based activities.

Theatrical performance highlights siege history

A theatrical visit titled Le roi, l’abbé et le rocher: à la naissance du fort! will be presented by Atipicc Production and La Tulipe Noire. This performance explores the intrigues and battles of the siege of Avignon in 1226 and will take place on both days of the event.

Exhibition reveals secrets of coats of arms

The exhibition Oh mon blason! from the Saint-Jean-de-Valériscle coat of arms museum will be on display during the event. It will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both October 17 and 18, revealing the history and symbolism behind coats of arms.

Event suitable for children and families

The activities at Fort Saint-André are designed for children aged 6 and up, making the event accessible and engaging for families. A complete program of events is available online for those planning to attend.
