Delonghi's new Rivelia Start coffee machine offers key features of its higher-end model at a lower price, making premium brewing more accessible.
Affordable Rivelia Start launched
Delonghi has introduced a more affordable version of its Rivelia coffee machine, called the Rivelia Start, priced around 650 €, which is approximately 150 € less than its higher-end counterpart.Key feature retained
The Rivelia Start retains the key feature of the original model, which is the interchangeable bean bins system (Bean Switch System), allowing users to switch between different types of coffee beans easily.Simplified control system
However, it omits the color touchscreen and the Bean Adapt function, which automatically adjusts the machine's settings based on the type and roast of the beans. Instead, the Rivelia Start features a panel with sensitive commands and illuminated icons for control.Compact design for small kitchens
The Rivelia Start has a compact design, with dimensions of 38.5 x 24.5 x 43 mm, making it suitable for small kitchens. It includes a 1.4 L water reservoir, a milk carafe (LatteCrema Hot), a 250 g capacity for the bean bins, a grind trap, and a cold brew function.Convenient cleaning feature
The machine also includes a feature for cleaning the milk system, which involves turning a knob on the milk carafe to a cleaning position. The machine's extraction performance is comparable to its higher-end models, with precise grinding, temperature control, and extraction timing.Quiet operation
The Rivelia Start is also noted for its quiet operation, with a noise level of 59 dB during grinding and 44 dB during extraction. While it lacks some of the advanced features of the Rivelia Latte, it offers a more affordable option with similar core functionalities.
