The Île-de-France Region has announced nine books competing for the 16th edition of its Prix littéraire des lycéens, a literary prize for high school students. The 2026-2027 edition of the prize, launched on October 2, 2026, includes three categories: novel, poetry, and graphic novel. Nearly 1,000 students from 32 classes across 31 general and vocational high schools and a CFA in the eight departments of Île-de-France will participate in selecting three winners, one in each category. The selected books will be provided to each participating class by the Region, purchased from partner bookstores. Each student will also receive an 18-euro gift card usable at a partner bookstore during an organized visit as part of the prize.
The 2026-2027 edition will take place from October to April, with a regional forum planned for December 8, 2026, and an award ceremony in spring 2027. The Region includes this initiative among its actions in favor of books and reading, alongside other literary events and policies. In the graphic novel category, the selected titles include L’Amourante by Pierre Alexandrine (Glénat), Les Sentiers d’Anahuac by Romain Bertrand and Jean Dytar (Delcourt), and Iris by Fabian Menor (Atrabile). In poetry, the titles include Haïkus des forêts et des montagnes by Annick Combier and Neyptune (Éditions du Jasmin), J’ai mis le soleil dans la machine à laver by Liv Pirosh (Zinzinule éditions), and Elles ont surgi d’une vague by Murielle Szac (Bruno Doucey).
For the novel category, the selected books are Chasseurs d’été by Soufiane Khaloua (Agullo), Pamoja ! by Jérôme Lafargue (Quidam), and La Manque et le Papillon by Anne-Christine Tinel (Elyzad). The three winning authors will receive a grant from the Île-de-France Region. In the previous edition, the three prizes were awarded to Sophie Tavert Macian for Gamba (novel), Simon Allonneau for Je suis fort dans un domaine qui n’existe pas (poetry), and Lauriane Chapeau and Violaine Benilan for Petite Grande (graphic novel).
