Theatrical production debuts in Reims

The theatrical production L’Odeur des tissus, written by Lydie Tamisier and directed by Marion Duphil, premiered at the Comédie de Reims – CDN from December 8 to 11, 2026. The play is described as a "non-histoire" or non-story, focusing on the everyday interactions and small moments of tenderness among a group of women without traditional dramatic conflicts.

According to a review by Marion Duphil, the piece features moments such as singing, exchanging haikus, and performing mundane tasks like preparing tea or arranging flowers, creating a sense of absurdity and poetic burlesque. The production includes an ensemble cast of nine actors: Fatima Aïbout, Maly Diallo, Nicole Dogué, Andrea El Azan, Jade Herbulot, Pauline Mereuze, Thalia Otmanetelba, Prunella Rivière, and Louise Roch. The dramaturgy is by Adèle Chaniolleau, with set design by Lisa Navarro, costumes by Marie La Rocca, lighting design by Juliette Besançon, and sound design by Paul Bertrand.

The administrative team is led by Clément Longin, with Rose Laedlein-Greilsammer handling diffusion and communication. Future performances are scheduled at Théâtre Ouvert – Centre National des Dramaturgies Contemporaines in Paris from January 21 to February 3, 2027, at Théâtre de la Manufacture – CDN Nancy Lorraine from March 22 to 26, 2027, and at Scène Nationale de Mâcon – Le Théâtre on March 30, 2027.
